Muslims attacked in Scotland
/I have it on very high authority that the number of attacks on Muslims in Glasgow and the west of Scotland has reached disturbing levels. The media have reported on about 30 to 40 such attacks but they are downplaying the true number for fear of exacerbating the situation. The real figure is considerably higher. This is a great shame as Scottish Muslims are beyond doubt the most integrated and least radicalised in the UK.
In a country still riddled with sectarian violence perhaps these latest attacks shouldn't surprise us. You can still get a good beating up here for being Catholic (or Protestant, come to that) so perhaps the Muslims shouldn't feel too bad about it, eh?
