Help an injured child?

Gaza: The Spectator

Clive Davis offers us what he calls "a vignette" which "capture(s) some of the complexities" of the situation in Gaza. It's from a post in The Atlantic by Jeffrey Goldberg called (I kid you not) "The Moral Responsibilities of Israeli Soldiers".
I once asked Abdel-Aziz Rantisi, the late, unlamented Hamas leader, if he would help an injured Jewish child if he came across one lying on the street. He said no. And he was a pediatrician by training.
Jeffrey wants the soldiers to realise that they are above such barbarism:
Dear Soldier,

Here's the thing. You've got to help the children. You're not Hamas. You're better than Hamas. So act it..You're not Rantisi. So when you operate, operate with the children in mind.
I have to assume that Goldberg did actually ask Rantisi that question and got that answer but it's a shame he didn't ask the Hamas leader and paediatrician a supplementary question:

On coming across this injured Jewish child lying on the street would Rantisi have just walked away or would he have turned, moved in closer and put two bullets in the child's head. Then walked away, turned back and fired a stream of bullets into her body?

Just asking.
