Server move

I am in the process of moving servers. This blog will continue to be hosted here at Squarespace, which is a superb CMS which I highly recommend to anyone looking for something more than a just a blog service,  but I'm moving all my other domains to a new host. There might be some disruption of image loading  and the News Pages might be down for a while.

I can't believe how indecisive I've been about this. I will keep Dreamhost, at least for the next month, and check out my new windows host. I'm installing a CMS system that requires .NET.  I've tried pretty well every half decent open source CMS out there and, apart from the blog oriented ones like Wordpress (not a true CMS) and Textpattern most of the others suck in one way or another.   So I'm trying out InsiteCreation.  Most CMS suck because they have to work on cheap Linux hosting and because they are mostly built by geeks for geeks.  Insite is designed from the perspective of the non-technical user and leverages the power of .NET.  It will be interesting to see how it works out. I'm putting up  a work-related site for Mrs P.  I might be able to run everything else from the same server, in which case my hosting decision will make itself and I'll save about $20 a month.
